S.B.179 - Jury Trial For Kids
Effective January 1, 2002

This Act implements the Criminal Sentencing Commission's recommendations pertaining to juvenile offenders, including: creation of the "serious youth offender" status, blended sentencing and transfers of alleged delinquent children to criminal court for prosecution, dispositions of delinquent children and juvenile traffic offenders, and other changes to the Juvenile Court Law and the Juvenile Code.
