EIDC Programs

  • Ohio Guidestone High Fidelity Wrap Around Services uses the wraparound model through a team process based on the strengths and needs of the child. Programming is offered to enhance the lives of children with behavioral needs through family-focused, child-centered, strength-based, and culturally competent care in the community. Target Population: males and females ages 6 to 17 ½ years old
  • Ohio Guidestone Pro Kids Case Management’s program goal is to strengthen the youth and their families' ability to access community resources and support the youth with prosocial activities and decision-making skills.Programming may not stay open beyond 120 days.
  • Coordinated Approach to Low-Risk Misdemeanors (CALM): Provides appropriate placement and case management for low-level and domestic violence offenders.
  • Community Diversion Programs (CDP’s): The youth is referred to a local police department, and the CDP shall implement effective diversion services with a focus on rehabilitation and accountability versus deterrence-based sanctions.
  • Applewood Screening:The Intervention Specialists or Probation Staff may refer the youth to the on-site Applewood clinicians for a further behavioral health assessment and consultation in order to refer for services or case planning
  • Community Service is performed by youth on supervision to make the community whole. The Community Service Coordinator (CSC) will match the youth with one or more community service sites established throughout the community. The CSC will collect the time sheets and monitor the youth’s progress. Each CSC maintains a list in their regional areas of potential community sites and frequently works with community partners to identify additional resources. 

SUBSTANCE ABUSE ASSESSMENT/TREATMENT

  • Catholic Charities’ standard assessments have been developed to include both substance use and mental health disorders in order to meet the needs of the youth. Services available include individual counseling, crisis intervention, drug screening, group counseling (IOP), and case management.Assigned Case Managers are accessible on a 24-hour per day, 7 days per week basis.
  • Ohio Guidestone’s Assessment process includes the Youth Mental Health Assessment (MHA) and Substance Abuse Addendum. The Counselor will arrange a minimum of two weekly visits with the youth and family, which will vary in length based on the goals for the session and the current status of the client’s functioning. The Counselor can choose to increase the frequency of contact in times of need. The following services will be offered: consultation, case management, and counseling with both the individual and family.
  • New Directions assessment includes a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, and the treatment model best meets the needs of the youth. Treatment can vary from Outpatient treatment, Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) model, Continuing Care, and/or Community-Based Services (typically in the home services).

SEX OFFENDER ASSESSMENT/TREATMENT PROGRAMS

  • Behavior Diversion Education (BDE) charged with a sex offense on a sibling or other household member who are 13 or younger at the time of the offense. The program will address the multiple determinants underlying problematic juvenile sexual behavior, utilizing the Multi-Systemic Therapy Model.
  • Monford Dent Consulting provides community-based assessment services for adolescents who have engaged in sexually problematic behavior. These assessments will inform decisions about youth who may need a more restrictive environment or more intensive services as well as youth who may need little or no further intervention.
  • Ohio Guidestone provides assessment and treatment options. The assessment is a written report summarizing data gathered in areas of major functioning, providing a problem determination, a diagnostic impression, and a diagnosis, as well as recommendations for treatment.Treatment services include The PROTECT program and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Clinicians will provide individual and family therapy, and a case manager will be assigned to provide support and linkages to other services.
